So, Can coaching really help me??

Case Study

Situation: Long term unusual skin condition causing self conscious behaviour, feelings of insecurity and a general issue of low self esteem.

Pre coaching thinking: Unable to think of any other way to see my skin. Extremely limiting beliefs on my appearance. Quite honestly, feeling embarrassed and ashamed.

Post coaching thinking: Being Open Minded to Change with Powerful Questioning and Reframing Coaching Techniques.

This led to the courage to open the door to new possibilities. Like a jigsaw puzzle in my mind, new belief messages started pouring in, allowed for a new mindset shift.  It was this new mindset shift that allowed me to land an exciting opportunity to visit a leading UK dermatologist, receive help with new cutting edge laser treatment, and with a TV appearance to top it off!  (The Bad Skin Clinic for those that are wondering.) To be honest, It was actually like a weight off my shoulders to finally open up.

If I could help anyone with their condition by communicating how I’ve felt and the fact that there is hope, then that’s the main message I wanted to send out.

For me, that shift in my thinking allowed me to explore the idea of treatment.  For over 20 years I was told it was not possible, therefore didn’t even allow myself to think of a new future, however I now had a goal to create and accept a new brighter future. Although I’m not completely healed, it’s a process.  This opportunity may not have come about if I didn’t start future planning with my coaching techniques. To go from never talking, to showing my skin in a TV debut, is quite a leap!

For you, what could your shift allow?

Could it be an acceptance of your skin?

Could it be to share your feelings surrounding your skin?

Or perhaps like me, a new opportunity in your life could be presented to you which previously you wouldn’t have been open to, because of how you felt about your own skin?
